[Crowds of sick people used to lie by a certain pool in Jerusalem to await a "stirring in the waters." When this happened, they rushed into the pool, hoping to be healed by God. One person had been sick for 38 years, but could never reach the water in time. One day] Jesus said to him, "Get up, pick up your mat, and walk." Immediately the man got well.

- John 5:8-9

A man was watching a fly burn itself out trying to fly through a windowpane. Across the room a door stood wide open to the outdoors. The man wondered why the fly didn't head for the open door. Maybe the fly thought it could break through the window on its own by simply trying harder. Suddenly the man realized that trying harder isn't always the right strategy.

There comes a time in life when we realize that we need the help of Jesus to do what we need to do or would like to do. When did I reach such a point in my life?

When we have traveled all ways, we shall come to the End of all ways who says, "I am the way."

Appreciation is Always with a Prayer!

It's amazing that the Kitchen Staff of our Parish, at the Cathedral and Chapel, continue their extraordinary labor of love with the Easter baking project. God bless each of our good, precious volunteer workers for proving their love and continued genuine dedication to St. Michael's! Proceeds amounted up. Prayers of gratitude are shared with each one of these very special souls!
