A young man wasted his first year and his parent's money at college. As a result, he flunked out. To soften the blow to his father, he emailed this message to his mother, "Flunked out Prepare Father." She emailed back, "Father prepared. Prepare yourself."

Kontakion - Tone 6

When you had fulfilled the plan of salvation for us and united the earthly with the heavenly, you were taken up in glory, O Christ our God. Never parting from us but remaining constantly, you proclaim to those who love you: I am with you and no on can be against you.

Troparion - Tone 4

You were taken up in glory, O Christ our God; you gladdened the disciples with the promise of the Holy Spirit. By blessing them you confirmed that you are the Son of God, the Redeemer of the World.

Be Exhalted Above the Heavens, O God, And Let Your Glory Be Over All the Earth

Prayerful congratulations are extended to these three students of our Eastern Christian Formation class! They anxiously awaited for this, their Special Day! May Our Lord bestow on each of them blessing beyond measure! May they always remain faithful, along with their parents, to Our Lord and His Church. May they know the merciful God in the Mystery of Reconciliation. May they faithfully and frequently approach Holy Eucharist at the Divine. May they faithfully and frequently approach Holy Eucharist at the Divine Liturgy. And may Our Lord bless our dear Donna Lengel for her dedicated efforts by preparing our students for the reception of these Sacraments!
