Be a Diamond of Hope

Buried deep within the earth lies vast deposits of diamonds, world's most precious gem. Although these stones are tremendously valuable, until they are mined, they remain useless - glimmering pebbles hidden beneath the surface. Someday these jewels will be unearthed and the world will marvel at their brilliance.

One of the worlds most famous diamonds is not white, but rather a radiant blue. This diamond is cherished not only for its size and beauty, but also for its uncanny ability to conduct electricity - to energize those objects with which it comes in contact. The jewel is none other than the Hope diamond, the only one of its kind in the world.

Spiritually, the followers of the risen Christ are capable of being "Diamonds of hope" - radiating a message of uplift and encouragement which energizes those with whom they come into contact.

Low pressure zone

Several studies reported in the magazine Religion and Health have shown that men who attend worship regularly have lower blood pressure than non-attendees. Of the 407 men examined, regular churchgoers had significantly lower blood pressure numbers.

Just one more good reason to attend church.

St. Michael's Annual Food Drive!

An Understanding Heart

God: Why do you think Jesus took it upon Himself to feed the people who came to hear him preach?

Me: I think He understood that good teaching affects many levels in a person

God: You're right. By providing food for their bodies, He gave them a vision and a story that would nourish people down through the ages.

Our awesome God

When our loves are focused on God, awe and wonder lead us to worship God, filling our inner being with fullness we would never have thought possible. Awe prepares the way in us for the power of God to transform us, and this transformation of our inner attitudes can only take place when awe leads us in turn to wonder, admiration, reverence, surrender and obedience toward God.

"Try our Sundays.
They are better than Baskin-Robbins."
