Annual Flower Sale

The Annual plant and spring flower sale will be held on May 11 th and 12 th at our (Passaic) Cathedral Garage. Each day from 9:00 am until 6:00 pm. A wonderful variety of plants will be available. This project is sponsored by our Parish Religious Education Program (ECF). Please be sure to buy plants for your home garden from our plant sale. Our plants come directly from a Jersey grower!

On Sunday, March 25, 2007 the students of ECF will have the wonderful opportunity to attend the nation's oldest performance of the Passion Play at the Park Performing Arts Center located in Union City, New Jersey.

This "musical of family entertainment" is a modernized version of the original play which has been performed in Oberammergau, Germany since 1634. The play, details Jesus Christ's last days on earth. It originated in the ritual of the Church, which prescribes, among other things, that the Gospel on Good Friday should be sung in parts divided among various persons.

CCD students on January 14, were sent home with ticket request forms. A limited number of extra seats are available for Parents and siblings, who are welcome to attend this wonderful event at the modest cost of $35.00 per person. Transportation, by bus will be provided to the theater from the Chapel in West Paterson. For more information, please contact Ms. Pat Ditzig at 973-773-5521. Early Notice!

Spring planting is just around the corner. Our ECF Program's Spring/Mother's Day FLOWER SALE is scheduled for May 12 and 13, 2006 . New varieties are being offered. Please support St. Michael's Youth!

NEW! The photos are here from the ECF 2005 Christmas Party complete with a visit from Saint Nicholas!

The ECF, Eastern Christian Formation, is our religious education classes for pre-k through grade 12. Classes will start the week after the church picnic in September and end the Sunday before first Communion. Classes are held at the chapel on Sunday mornings and run from 9:30 am until 10:45 am, just in time for the 11am liturgy. A trip to Radio City's Christmas Spectacular is planned for those children enrolled in the program.

BCY-Byzantine Catholic Youth runs concurrently with the ECF program. This group in includes youth in grades 7-12. They are active in fund raising, plan exciting trips, and learn about the Byzantine Rite.
