After an all-night guarding of the tomb, parishioners gathered around the Lord's tomb to pray Jerusalem Matins led by Fr. Marek.

After Strasti, Matins with twelve Gospels, Bishop Kurt together with Fr. Marek led the faithful in praying the Entombment Vespers and processing around the church. Afterward, faithful took turn in guarding the tomb throughout the night.

On the evening of April 2, Holy and Great Thursday, Bishop Kurt celebrated Vespers and the Divine Liturgy of St. Basil and then proceeded to wash the feet of twelve men.

On Friday, March 27, the last day of the Great Fast, parishioners and friends joined at the Chapel to pray and share the famous Fish and Chips. Thanks to all the organizers, cooks, servers, and patrons! We will do it again next year, God willing!

On Thursday, March 26, Fr. Jack Custer spoke about Psalms at the Eastern Catholicism Theology on Tap at St. Mary's Church in Manhattan. As expected, everyone was thoroughly enriched.

On Friday, March 13, we were welcomed by the neighboring St. Ann Melkite Catholic Church and joined them in praying an Akathist hymn to the Mother of God. Fellowship and a meal followed prayer.

On Wednesday, March 11, the faithful of St. Michael's welcomed parishioners from neighboring Sacred Heart Armenian Catholic Church and St. Ann Melkite Church at the Divine Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts and shared food and fellowship afterwards.

On Friday, March 6, faithful from our parish and of other rites were welcomed by our neighbors at Sacred Heart Armenian Catholic Church to pray the Stations of the Cross. Fellowship followed prayer with sharing of delicious food.

On Tuesday, February 3, Metropolitan Jonáš Maxim, Archbishop of Presov and head of the Slovak Greek Catholic Church, spoke at the Eastern Catholicism Theology on Tap at the Basilica of St. Patrick's Old Cathedral. A wonderful and enriching evening for all. Thank you, Archbishop Jonáš!

On Saturday, February 21, we celebrated the Commemoration of the miracle of the Great-Martyr Theodore by sharing Kollyva during our breakfast with the pastor. Besides Kollyva and other Lenten goodies, parishioners shared spiritual reflections about the Great Fast season.

The Christopher Columbus School #8 in Garfield, led by Principal Kathleen Mazzola, held a Super Bowl Food Drive for the benefit of St Michael the Archangel Byzantine Catholic Cathedral. More than 20 bags of food essentials were donated and humbly accepted by Pantry Coordinator, Mariann Gelenius, on Monday February 9, 2026. May God Bless the children and faculty who helped to make this food drive such a success!
